In Focus: SAV & Mystereo

SAV & Mystereo are a duo that have been taking the EDM scene by storm.  Mystereo being the hypeman and SAV being the man behind the music it's a great combination to keep crowds going wild.  While they were in town for PeepThis Beat we were able to sit down and talk to them, here's what they had to say to In Focus.

In Focus: Ceear

Ceear is one of Albany's latest DJs hailing from the Glens Falls area.  Even though he is fairly new to the Albany scene, he has already begun to expand his reach outside of Albany. This reach includes a benefit show where he supplied lighting and DJ'ed to show support.  Today we made him the spotlight for In Focus, here's what he had to say.

In Focus: Rome Thrasher

This is the first of a series of interviews of local artists known as In Focus.  First person to break into this series is Rome Thrasher.  Rome first caught my attention due to his heavy sets covering the range of dubstep, to moobahcore, to trap.  Aside from the stacked track lists he chooses to play for every show the energy he brings to the stage is phenomenal.

My Gear.

One of the things I constantly hear at shows is "Woah, that looks expensive".  A lot of people ask me what I use out of interest and because they too want to get into photography.   I'm going to be using this post to talk mainly about the gear that I use at shows.

Stuff Your Face With Bass - White Massive

Last night was the first night the Washington Ave Armory was allowed to re-reopen its doors after getting shut down, that's another story all together.  But, let's just say I was glad to be back in there shooting.  The stage setup was one of my favorites I've seen for a SYFWB. Avid Entertainment and PeepThis did not hold back with this show.  With the addition of snow machines, they only added to the great experiences I constantly have at the Armory.   Each artist I heard tonight was amazing.  I saw gLAdiator at a previous SYFWB and it's good to know that their sets are still incredible.  Alvin Risk also had a really good set.  Saw Alvin for the first time at Camp Bisco XI and he has been one of my favorite artists since and was really excited to hear he was coming to Albany. Can not wait for the next SYFWB!

My pictures will be up on my facebook page within a few days.

Line up was as follows:
Kenetik
BASS 3OYZ
Rome Thrasher
Kido
gLAdiator
Alvin Risk

Armory in full force!

The armory won their case against the city of Albany. Meaning Stuff Your Face With Bass - White Massive is still happening!

This SYFWB will feature Alvin Risk and gLAdiator

Alvin Risk was incredible at Camp Bisco XI last year.  I only knew of a few remixes he has done, but knowing he's an OWSLA artist, I knew I couldn't pass up seeing his set.  And I'm glad I didn't, he had The Big Tent full of so much energy it was unreal.  I seriously can not wait to see him again tomorrow.

New Lens, New Blog

This is my first post, got so much going on hoping that SYFWB happens.  Did receive a new lens today Sigma 20mm Wide Angle f/1.8.  Shit will be dope when I finally get to use it this weekend.  Aside from SYFWB, on Saturday we will be driving out to Utica for ESCAPE ft. Lou Malvasi. Really can't wait for this weekend to kick off.
